Animalitoland is the visual universe of Graciela Gonçalves Da Silva, argentinean artist.
Self-taught illustrator, Graphic Designer from Buenos Aires University, she spent the last 10 years experimenting different visual areas. Started with comics and fanzines, then worked in animation, videogames, toys and graphic design, blending different styles and techniques. After too much studio life, she went out in the street and started painting freely, which was a revolution in both personal and artistic ways. As a result of this journey, she cultivated a personal style which has gained recognition internationally: Argentina, Spain, Germany, UK, France, Hungary, China are some of the places her creatures stepped into
Among exciting projects, like painting with friends a 100m-long Metro station in Buenos Aires (AR); she’s been a conference speaker in Pictoplasma Berlin (DE); painted a large scale mural in a 300-inhabitants-town MIAU Fanzara (SP), and a sequenced mural on a highway in Budapest (HU). She’s now freelancing and travelling in Europe, wondering what new adventures will 2016 bring along.
